The narrator captures that perfectly-equal parts exasperated and deadly.

We knew it had a dark past, but watching it actively seek out those memories, voluntarily heading toward the place where everything went wrong? That's brave storytelling. The partnership with ART-the Research Transport vessel with the unprintable acronym for a name-provides exactly the right balance of humor and genuine connection.
The mystery unfolds naturally, and I found myself genuinely surprised by the revelations. More than that, though, I was moved by Murderbot's journey toward understanding itself. It's rare to find a character who feels both alien and deeply human.
Wells has crafted something special here-science fiction that's simultaneously a thrilling adventure and a thoughtful exploration of autonomy, trauma, and what it means to be more than your programming.
