The audiobook narration presumably does its best to keep listeners engaged while Edwards throws every possible plot thread into the mix-barriers, conspiracies, tortured flashbacks, and enough court politics to make Game of Thrones look like a simple family gathering. This third installment promises to drag our protagonist's skeletons out of closets he probably thought were locked, all while the fate of the world hangs in the balance like a really expensive chandelier. Because nothing says "epic climax" like combining personal trauma with global catastrophe.
